This place has gone down hill in the past several months. The service isn't as good. I've had issues with the last six orders I've placed. From the food being extra late, to being of less quality for already not low process, finding out they couldn't complete the order after I arrived, and just not getting the same sense of customer care when I am in there. I give two stars because the breakfast crew and food has not changed. It is still good.

Great place! Close to home, good food, and usually really nice staff! And then you get that one! When you walk in and smile to wait to be seated and she just stares, so you seat your self. That one that doesn't ask how you are or even a hello. She said what do you want to drink?? I said hi twice before telling her I am saying hi, then I told her what we wanted to drink....she acted as if she was annoyed that she had to work, we were bothering her, and this was not a young woman. Old enough to know how to treat paying guest. You wait all week for your Friday night to finally get here and so you want to go some where with good service. Next time I go here and she is there I will not stay ...needs an attitude adjustment! Will not put her name on here but will speak to someone about her. But on the bright side food was good as usual! If not for her it would have been a 5...

The service was fantastic from my server, however I did not see the same from other customers. A server decided to speak to a group that I assume are regulars for the hour I spent there dining. The other server that was behind the counter had to pick up the slack and did a wonderful job. Onto the food. I ordered the chopped BBQ plate with greens and beans. The BBQ was absolutely bland. No sauce on the chopped (which is what I prefer) but there was zero flavor even in the bark. There were two sauces on the table. One was a vinegar sauce, the other a sweet sauce. It was up to the customer to decide. Neither of them struck my fancy. The beans tasted like green bell pepper and again, bland. The turnip greens were decent, but nothing to write home about. The bread included was Texas toast, which I truly enjoy, but was slathered in butter. I would not come back to Plumpy's.

Food was decent, service could improve

The dining area is incredibly TINY but Plumpy's can accommodate a good number of tables. Took about 15 minutes to get our drink order taken, by then we had our whole order ready. The Mac n cheese came out ice cold, and then bubbling when the waitress brought it back out after newking. I've only done breakfast take out prior to this visit. All-in-all: BBQs good, turnip greens, fried pickles, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fried okra, and (warmed) mac and cheese are all so very delicious! Great food and good service. However, they can get so busy that service can be slow and suffer. Still worth it.

Let me make it easy for you. Go to Plumpy’s! Exceptional food AND staff. That is hard to find these days! I have lived in Memphis my entire life, and have made the rounds to all the “must try” bbq and rib joints this city has got to offer. Plumpy’s is at the top of my list. The management and staff are always incredibly friendly with excellent service. This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Arlington. My advice; bring your fork, because these ribs will not stay on the bone! Plumpy’s deserves more than 5 stars in my book. Keep up the great work guys!

I recommend their burgers!! If you are there for breakfast the hashbrowns all the way are so good and filling!!!

Keep trying to give this place a chance but they keep blowing it. Decent food but here are my last four experiences from past to present. 1) Pulled pork sandwich to go (while there, not that busy). 45 minute wait. 2) Pulled more sandwich to go (while there) over 45 minute wait. 3) Regular order, acceptable wait time. 4) Pulled chicken order to go, get home, box of 5 onion rings and 4 shrimp. I was 1 of 2 people in the restaurant. Will drive further to spend my money elsewhere.

They have delicious pulled pork and they now serve breakfast 6 days a week. All good stuff! The staff is very friendly.

Great Place. Home cooking at its best

I live near them, there food is always amazing, the servers are friendly, and the wait time is short, a excellent restraunt that I regularly visit.

The BBQ is pretty good and the staff is friendly. They would have received 5-stars if they served beer!

No salt on anything. Food didn’t come with everything I paid for and no bbq sauce on my bbq sandwich? Will definitely be finding bbq somewhere else. Also! Fried plastic in my onion rings !!! Wth

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I was a little disappointed in the desserts, which came out still frozen, but the quality of the other food more than made up for it! Great prices for great food! Worth the trip off the Interstate!

Good food was some of the best breakfast iv had in awhile

Fantastic little place with amazing service. I had the regular pork sandwich, and it was well-seasoned with just enough crispy burned ends for texture. It was a little on the small side, so if you have a big appetite spring for the jumbo.

Really good barbecue at an even better price!

This is a really good breakfast spot. It doesn't look like it it looks like a drive-through barbecue restaurant. Which certainly it serves that purpose. The barbecues a little peppery and may or may not be what you're used to. I think it's pretty good. But I want to brag on their breakfast for a minute. I really enjoy Saturday mornings in Arlington at this little spot.

Great food at a reasonable price!! The staff and owner were welcoming and friendly. We got our food quickly and it was amazing!

Just ate here recently and it was delicious. I've been wanting to go eat there ever since having it catered at my work and it was really good! We had the country fried steak and veggies, as well as a pulled pork sandwich and fries. It was made fresh and tasted great. I will definitely be back.

The Bar B Que Egg Rolls are delicious. Our first time and we will definitely purchase again. We just tried them along with some sides everything was tasty. Two thumbs up! 👍

Lunch specials are killer. I just had the best hamburger steak I've ever had. And hot water cornbread!! Thanks Miss Diane! You will be seeing me again very soon! Highly recommend. And the bbq is great also.

I had the pork chops this time. Amazing!

Not sure if we caught them on an off night or what but the service was horrible. It took almost an hour to get the food for our table and they forgot one person. The baloney and cheese appetizer had to be changed because we were told the cheese was bad? The bbq was dry and not overly flavorful. The ribs were dry and only ok. The highlight of the night was the okra... which was probably from a distributor. Not a fan.

Really good barbeque! The taste reminds us of Brad's Bar-b-q in Bartlett, which has always been my wife's favorite. Plumpy's is much more conveniently located for us, and it has a great little hometown atmosphere inside the restaurant...so we probably have a new favorite.

Da waitress Janie was a great server. Da food made it worth the wait. Good biscuits, Good bacon, eggs, sausage. Ham too salty though.

I was not impressed at all once was enough for me. Hope all that junk hanging from the ceiling doesn't fall on anybody while they're eating.

First time visit. Arrived just before 7a and place had a few patrons. Service was fast, coffee was flowing! I had omelet of choice with biscuit and food was great. Omelet was great, not greasy. Dining was comfortable, cool for a already hot summer morning! By the time I left it was slowly filling up around 7:30. I'll definitely go back.
